When he was still a young boy, Wayne began breeding of all types of tropical fish. Eventually, as luck would have it, he came upon Discus and it was love at first sight. As the years went by, he continued his relationship with the beautiful fish and eventually became a world-renowned expert.

In 1988, it was a right time fro him to start a Discus centre and, thereby formally launch his life's work. That was over 15 years ago. Since then he has developed many award-winning Discus. He is now one of the leading Discus breeders in the world.

His passion to Discus has continued over the years and keeps getting deeper and stronger. He continues his work of finding and selecting great bloodstock in order to produce and develop exceptional discus strains. He meets with other breeders to exchange information, and often attends Discus shows to learn about the latest developments. His strains are very popular and well-known in many Discus communities for their intense coloration, high-fins, round-shape, and huge body size. They are beautiful..

 

You may have heard one of his strains : Reflection D, Violet Reflection, Shooting Star, Spotted-Eruption. These strains have won many awards in international Discus competitions in Singapore, Taiwan, and even Germany.

He still dedicates his time to help develop the Discus industry. He is frequently invited to be a judge in international tropical fish competitions, and is frequently interviewed by the media. He has been invited to Guangzhou China, Singapore and Phillipines in 1998, 1999, 2000 respectively. In 2002, he has been invited by "1st Championnat de Discus en France" and "China International Aqua Pet Show" to be the Chief judge.

He has given lectures in San Francisco (U.S.A), Guangzhou (China), Manila (Phillipines), and Paris (France). Since 1997, he has been helping to organize many Discus exhibitions and competitions held in Hong Kong SAR and Guangzhou China.

He was the third-term president of the H.K. Discus Association. He is still an honorable advisor of the H.K. Discus Association. a Committee of the H.K. Tropical Fish Trade Association, and a member of the Guangzhou Aquarium association.
